In winter, a warm headdress is not just a beautiful thing, it is a real find. The more significant a modern mink hat becomes in a woman’s wardrobe.

A mink product has all the necessary qualities for a woman to be reliably protected from the cold and at the same time look great. In addition, mink hats are an invariable attribute of status, wealth and prestige. The competent selection of such a chic wardrobe item, among other things, demonstrates excellent taste.

Exquisite, luxurious mink fur inspires the most famous maestros from the fashion world to create new collections of stylish women's hats from year to year.

Advantages

Mink hats, despite popular belief, are very practical and durable to wear. They are incredibly beautiful, spectacular and light. You can always find the perfect model for any look and outerwear. There are variations of items for a coat, a down jacket-blanket, and even a quilted winter jacket in a sport-chic style.

The fur of the animal is very durable, so that if used carefully, it allows you to wear a headdress for at least 20 years. Some specimens last longer. It is no coincidence that a lot of high-quality warm things are made from mink, distinguished by a phenomenal appearance: fur coats, coats, jackets, coats.

In modern conditions, a fashionista can easily afford to buy several options for a mink accessory, providing herself with a universal winter wardrobe for all occasions.

Let us draw your attention to a few more important features of a mink fur hat:

  • relevant for ladies of all ages and comfortable to wear;
  • Suitable for all ladies without exception, depending on shape, size and color;
  • has a wide price range for girls with different incomes;
  • pleases fashionistas with a huge variety of styles and colors;
  • warms in the most terrible frosts (which is very important for the northern regions of Russia);
  • due to the short pile it looks neat and fashionable, avoiding the effect of massiveness and a disproportionately large head;
  • mink does not lose its shape and softness for a long time, maintaining its original firmness, shine and elasticity.

Don’t discount the incredibly feminine and stylish look of modern products that can decorate ladies even with high demands.

The same product successfully fits into many fashionable looks, giving them creativity and individuality.

Silver fox hat

If you want to look like a real queen in winter, then feel free to choose a silver fox hat. Rich fur that beautifully frames your face will make you feel like a real Russian princess. Pleasant fur with long pile, shimmering in silver color, will undoubtedly attract attention and admiring glances.

However, in addition to beauty, such a headdress will not let you freeze even in the most severe cold. When giving preference to a black-brown fox hat, you should remember that this thing in itself is catchy, so other things should be carefully selected to go with it.

A silver fox fur hat in gray and black tones, rounded in shape, will make a harmonious ensemble with a quilted jacket in a blue shade. Suitable for an everyday look.

A silver fox fur hat with earflaps in gray and black tones is combined with quilted jackets. It will become the main accent of your look for every day.

A hat made of long silver fox fur in gray and black tones, with ears decorated with pompoms, will complement everyday winter clothing. Will decorate those with a warm color type of appearance.

A silver fox fur hat in gray and black tones will be an ideal option for brown-haired women. Goes well with outerwear in a casual style.

To begin with, it is worth saying that such a model obliges its owner to become an elegant lady. Needless to say, sports and unisex style items will be completely inappropriate with this headdress, so when choosing outerwear you should forget about sports jackets, down jackets, parkas, coats of oversized models and warm jackets of a men's cut.

A voluminous gray silver fox fur hat looks good with a turquoise dress, a fitted style, above the knee length, a straight coat and high white boots with heels.

A voluminous hat made of silver fox fur in gray and white tones will look great with a two-layer fur coat with a print, a flared silhouette, knee-length, a small bag and high black boots with heels.

A gray silver fox fur hat with long ears will create a stylish look with a red top, a dark gray skirt, straight cut, above the knee length, a black coat, a tote bag and black high-heeled shoes.

A gray silver fox fur hat will form a harmonious ensemble with a loose-fitting green sweater, skinny blue jeans and burgundy high-heeled ankle boots.

A light gray silver fox fur hat is combined with a straight-cut fur coat, above the knee length, tight-fitting black trousers, a large bag and black low-top boots.

A gray silver fox fur hat will complement a thin sweater, a leather skirt above the knees, a straight-cut coat, a small quilted bag and high boots and black stockings with heels.

The best choice for a silver fox hat is a coat or fur coat. Since such a headdress in itself is a fairly bright detail, so that the whole image does not look overloaded, it is better to give preference to modest and laconic clothing models.

Fashionable models and styles

Despite the opinion of many ladies that the women's mink hat is a recent invention of the fashion industry, we know something else. Mink garments were first demonstrated on the catwalks of the world back in the last century. They quickly gained wild popularity among women, although at that time few could afford such a delicacy. Since then, the demand for hats made of mink fur has only increased year after year and become widespread, especially during the sales season.

The most common models of stylish mink hats for 2020

Nowadays there is a huge industry involved in the production and sale of mink hats, providing modern beauties with an impressive range of products. There are both branded individual goods and affordable brands. This allows every fashionista of absolutely any income to acquire a luxurious accessory.

Kubanka

The well-known style since Soviet times still remains in first place in sales. The model is a cylindrical molding. It will adorn absolutely all women, regardless of the type and shape of their face. Makes it possible to use any type of outerwear - especially good with a short trapeze fur coat and over the knee boots.

Boyarka

No less popular option. There are two types: completely made of fur, and also with a leather insert. The style is characterized by a round configuration.

Beret

An elegant, spectacular option for a sophisticated beauty who is used to pampering herself. Instantly emphasizes the facial features and status of the hostess. Mink berets are often decorated with decorative inserts and beautiful brooches. It is recommended to wear the product with feminine outerwear: a fur coat, an expensive coat, a sheepskin coat in tandem with expensive boots and long gloves.

Cap

It is considered by stylists to be a very elegant and feminine piece of clothing. Should be worn with presentable items, complemented by elongated gloves and a beautiful bag made of genuine leather. Fur coats with 3/4 sleeves, complemented by tall suede boots or stocking boots, fit perfectly into the look.

Dwarf hat

A type of headdress similar to a gnome's cap has become a trend in recent seasons. It is used mainly among young people, as it wonderfully decorates the appearance of young girls. This format can be easily combined with a Cheburashka fur coat or a voluminous oversized down jacket, as well as with a short coat. This is exactly the kind of mink thing that can be easily worn with short UGG boots (with or without decoration). A dwarf hat is unlikely to decorate a mature person; only a young, slender young lady could try to include such an unusual item in her bow.

Ball molding

The graceful rounded configuration is very attractive and can greatly add elegance to a lady's appearance. Not recommended for use by women with wide, square, round, oval faces. Any type of autumn-winter clothes and boots is acceptable, with the exception of voluminous down jackets-coats, especially trapezoidal ones. Youth ugg boots look ridiculous and awkward in tandem with a ball cap.

Hat with ear flaps

Incredibly simple and at the same time creative, flirty style of a fashionable mink hat. Suitable for ladies of all ages, but most popular among young people. It looks equally good on a mature woman and a teenage schoolgirl, regardless of the shape of the face and other features of appearance. Earflaps with pom-poms and tassels are in trend for young fashionistas.

Cap

A new product from last year, loved by advanced young ladies. An outstanding feature of the model is the fur visor, which gives it a certain piquancy. Externally, the hat resembles a rider's cap.

In addition to the styles listed above, mink hats and caps, hoods, and stylish models made from sheared and plucked mink are extremely popular on trading floors.

Astrakhan hat

For those fashionistas who don’t like long fur, astrakhan hats are suitable. Karakul is obtained from the skins of very young lambs. This fur has a fine texture, but is soft, shiny and pleasant to the touch. He was popular in the Soviet Union. However, the product should not be classified as a relic of the Soviet era. With enviable frequency, astrakhan hats appear at various fashion shows, so such a hat should not be written off when choosing a fur model.

A fur hat made of astrakhan fur, a muted pink shade, with a concave crown will make a harmonious ensemble with a matching coat. Perfectly complements your everyday look.

A gray astrakhan fur hat, papakha model, is combined with classic gray outerwear. Suitable for blondes with warm skin tones.

An astrakhan fur hat, cap style will complement fur coats and vests made of natural fur. It will decorate blondes, becoming the main accent of the image.

A tall black astrakhan fur hat, decorated with a leather strap, harmonizes with clothes in a casual style. Looks good on blondes.

A black astrakhan fur hat looks good with many clothing styles. Fits especially harmoniously into classic images.

A straight gray astrakhan fur hat will look great on blondes with brown eyes. Fits into everyday looks.

Currently, astrakhan hats are made in completely different modifications. There are a huge number of options from this fur: earflaps, beanies, berets and many others.

Lately, the so-called kubanka hats made from astrakhan fur have become especially popular among fashionistas. This hat has a round cylindrical shape, reminiscent of a Cossack headdress. If your face is round or slightly elongated, prefer a cap. However, this headdress is contraindicated for women with a round face shape, square cheekbones or a massive jaw.

One of the advantages of a hat made from astrakhan fur, compared to a product made from silver fox, is considered to be versatility. Since astrakhan fur has a fairly short pile, it does not attract too much attention. Due to this, you can choose quite catchy clothes to complement such a headdress.

An astrakhan fur hat in dark brown color will create a stylish look with a green trench coat, a fitted style, below the knee length and high black boots with heels.

A black astrakhan fur hat will form a harmonious ensemble with a short turquoise-colored fur coat, a skirt with a checkered print, above the knees and ankle boots on a hidden platform.

An astrakhan fur hat of dark brown color is combined with an asymmetrical blue coat, a loose silhouette, knee-length, a large bag and low-heeled shoes.

A gray astrakhan fur hat will complement a black dress, fitted cut, floor length, a beige coat, straight cut and light brown high-heeled shoes.

At the same time, just as in the case of a silver fox hat, there remains a ban on sports style. However, fashionistas are experimenting with casual and unisex styles. It all depends on the model and finish of the hat.

How to choose according to face shape

The women's mink hat remains a favorite attribute of the winter wardrobe. It is important to choose the right outfit based on the individual characteristics of the face: shape, size.

There is no need to worry about the choice for graceful, fragile girls with a small oval face and regular features. Anything suits these young ladies.

Choosing a suitable option will bring more concern to plump beauties. Avoid excessively large massive hats; fluffy samples are not favored in this case.

Ladies with a sharp chin and a narrow face need earflaps with downturned ears or round boyarkas.

The round face needs the same earflaps, but with the ears tied back. For a woman with a round face, voluminous hats, luxurious berets, and knitted mink caps are perfect.

Those with a square jaw are advised to pay attention to a shallow earflap hat, cap and boyarka, which visually elongate the oval of the face. Avoid any kind of hat.

The rectangular shape of the facial oval suggests wearing earflaps, boyarkas and berets. An elongated face requires lower models than a harmonious oval one.

Military hats

The beret is a flat, round headdress that is part of the military equipment of the armies of many countries around the world. In connection with the reform of the Russian army, in the spring of 2011, the beret replaced the cap in the military uniform of soldiers.

Beskozyrka is a uniform headdress in the form of a cap without a visor, characteristic of the Russian army and navy. Introduced in 1811 as part of the uniform of soldiers, sailors, junior commanders and cadets of naval schools. In 1872, ribbons appeared in the cap, which indicated the name of the ship or the number of the naval crew. Nowadays, the name of the fleet or school is indicated on the ribbons.

Budenovka is a uniform headdress of Red Army soldiers in the form of a pointed helmet, which was in service in the Red Army until 1940. Soviet-Finnish War 1939-1940 showed the impracticality of the budenovka, and it was replaced with a hat with earflaps in accordance with Order No. 187 of the NCO of the USSR dated June 5, 1940.

Papakha (Kubanka) is a headdress of Cossack military equipment made of black sheepskin with a cloth top. The height of the fur band of the hat was 3 vershok (1 vershok = 4.445 cm). The color of the cloth on the papas of the Kuban Cossacks was scarlet, and that of the Terek Cossacks was blue. The top of the hat consisted of 4 wedges and was trimmed with galloon along the seams (crosswise) and in a circle. The color of the braid for cavalry regiments and divisions is silver, for Plastun battalions and artillery it is gold. According to the Decree of V.V. Putin dated May 8, 2005, the papakha was introduced into use as a headdress for colonels and generals of the Russian Army.

The cap is a summer army cap until 2011. The cap was first introduced in aviation units in 1913: pilots wore a folding headdress in their pocket or in their bosom, putting it on after flights instead of a heavy helmet. The first names of the cap are “flight”, “pereletka” (“flight folding cap”). In 1919, the cap was introduced as a uniform headdress for students of military courses, and it appeared in the army in 1935.

A cap is a headdress for the spring-autumn season, consisting of an oval bottom, four walls, a band and a visor.

The Finnish cap is a winter headdress for the middle, senior and senior commanding staff of the Red Army since 1931, and since 1936 – for the command staff of the NKVD troops of the USSR. A special feature of the hat is an oval cap made of cloth with a button at the top, consisting of 4 - 6 wedges, to which a visor and a backplate made of merlushka or astrakhan wool, lined with cloth, were sewn. The cap and backplate were insulated with cotton wool and secured with hooks, but if necessary, the backplate could be lowered. The color of the fur of the hat was gray or brown, and the color of the cloth was gray or protective. A badge - a cockade - was attached to the visor.

Ushanka hat (Kolchakivka) is a combined winter headdress for military personnel since 1940, made of fur and cloth. Used in 1919 in A. Kolchak’s units. The color of cloth and fur is currently gray.

A mask hat is a knitted hat that covers the head and face, with holes for the eyes and mouth. Necessary for special forces soldiers for camouflage.

Mink fur color

Judging by the colorful photos in magazines, fashionable mink hats attract beauties not only with a variety of styles, but with a huge variety of color combinations.

In the light industry, the most valuable fur is the North American mink. Such fur products have a number of the highest characteristics: a velvety surface, thick undercoat and incredible softness. Products made from Scandinavian mink are also in demand.

The variety of colors of animal skins currently bred industrially is also striking. The color palette of fur includes at least 350 different shades: from blue-black and chocolate to blue and white mink. Silver and blue skins are highly valued.

Artificially colored products are in demand. Beauties have the opportunity to wear hats of unusual colors: burgundy, emerald, pink. Bright dyed fur is on trend this season. When choosing dyed products made from natural furs, you should give preference to well-known brands. Otherwise, the color may be short-lived and unstable.

Competent selection of the shade of a mink hat is based on the requirements of the color type, and depends entirely on the girl’s taste preferences. First of all, hair color influences color preferences.

For owners of light brown and dark brown hair, dark fur tones are perfect: deep black, chocolate, walnut, mahogany, scanglow. Of the dyed options, the best for brown-haired women will be deep blue dresses.

Brunettes need models of nut-colored hats, mahogany products or light, contrasting variations. Among the colored samples, it is worth paying attention to wine, bright blue, red and turquoise products.

Blonde divas can easily afford different variations: from the darkest to the lightest. Models with a combination of dark and light fur at the same time look great on blondes. The northern color type of fair-haired ladies with a cool skin tone and light eyes are shown mink hats in pinkish, heavenly, lilac, and lilac shades.

Stylists advise red-haired beauties to wear hats in warm colors: golden, honey, brown with a warm undertone.

Never buy a headpiece that is completely similar in color to your natural hair color. For white curls it is better to take a cap of a golden hue, and for golden curls - a boiling white one.

Advice for those who prefer unusual colored options: take a pack of wet wipes with you to a fur store or boutique. Before purchasing, run a napkin over the surface of the colored fur. If you see a paint stain, then be sure that the product is fake, and this is a reason to refuse the purchase.

Types of women's hats and their names

In modern fashion, the types of hats for women are so diverse that fashionistas rarely get by with one universal option for the entire season. Designers offer accessories where you can choose a stylish solution for a specific outfit. The trend is romantic, casual, sporty and masculine style. The latest collections feature purely decorative models that will decorate a hairstyle or emphasize the style of an image. But let's look at the most common types of women's hats and their names, which are popular in everyday fashion:

  1. Kapor
    . This style is considered one of the most practical and functional. The hood is a combination of a snood and a headdress at the same time. Designers offer such models from yarn, fur, fleece, and knitwear.
  2. Boyarka
    . This type of accessory is considered one of the most elegant and can add a touch of aristocracy to your image. Boyarka has a dense crown made of leather, suede, wool or cashmere, framed by a wide strip of fur. The finishing is often made from natural pile, but designers also use artificial synthetic fibers.
  3. Turban
    . A tight-fitting style with a draped forehead looks very impressive, feminine and mysterious. Fashion designers make turbans from knitwear, wool, and yarn. Fashionable decor for this style has become a brooch or a large stone in the center of the gathered forehead, a twist in the fabric, or a bow.

Women's beanie hat

This style is considered the most laconic and is intended for everyday looks in any style. Women's fashionable beanie hat has a tight-fitting cut without trim or decoration. Such models are presented from elastic fabrics - knitwear, fleece, as well as in collections of knitted products. The only possible addition to this design is the cuff. This solution will also become an additional functional element that will reliably insulate the ears and forehead. To prevent accessories from looking boring, designers use interesting colors, melange yarn, false bows or flowers.

Women's hat with earflaps

This type of headdress has proven itself to be the most reliable and functional. The most important parts of the head are insulated here - the forehead, ears, and crown. At the same time, the style of earflaps is universal for any season. During the off-season period, knitted models and knitted items will be the current choice. Fashionable types of winter hats with earflaps are made from fur, sheep skin, and tanned leather. The originality of such accessories is the ability to close the “ears” or raise them with the help of ties on the top of the head. In any case, the headdress looks very stylish and attractive.

Women's Cuban hat

Kubankas are considered an element of luxury and style. A unique feature of such products is that they are amazingly suitable for any type of appearance. This headdress has a clear shape with a dense round bottom and a wide band. Fur accessories are considered traditional. Fashionable types of fur hats are presented from both natural and artificial pile. Designers also offer kubankas in knitted items. But in this case it is important to give the appropriate shape. To do this, use thick fur insulation or rigid inserts between the base and the lining.

Women's sock hat

This type of headdress has become a derivative of the laconic beanie. The designers pulled out the bottom, which remains empty when worn. This gives the impression that the accessory is not fully stretched. Fashionable hats for girls are available in knitwear or knitted designs. A stylish solution is to wear them on the side or to give a vertical, elongated shape by turning the cuff. However, the standard method - dropped at the back of the head - remains in trend. The sock style can be found in both winter and demi-season collections. The difference is the density of the fabric or knitting.

Women's beret

From the very beginning of its popularity, this style has been considered one of the most feminine and elegant. The beret stylishly complements business and romantic looks. Such models are presented from yarn, cashmere, leather, wool. In modern fashion, there are several solutions for the external design of a French headdress. Fashionable types of hats for women can be flat. Such models often perform a purely decorative function. Berets with a high band that covers the forehead and ears are considered more practical. An asymmetrical design with a wide forehead and a flat nape is also in fashion.

Women's voluminous hats

Oversized style has become one of the most popular trends in modern casual fashion. Not only voluminous outerwear, sweaters and dresses are trending, but also hats. The most fashionable types of women's hats are made from yarn. In this case, the current choice is the coarse knitting technique and thick threads. Oversized styles have also become popular in fur earflap collections. Products made from colored fur look especially stylish and will become a bright accent in your look. When choosing a voluminous headdress, it is important to balance its bulkiness with the help of tight-fitting clothing.

Women's hats with pompom

Initially, accessories complemented with soft balls were considered an attribute of a purely youth style. Today, stylists present such models as universal for any age. Stylish types of women's hats with pompoms are presented in the casual and sports collections. For such products, fur additions and thread ideas are relevant. The headdress can be decorated with one or more pompoms. This decor is popular for tight-fitting beanies, elongated sock cuts, and knitted items. Fur earflaps with pompoms placed at the ends of the ties or “ears” look original and attractive.

How to care for a mink hat

Women's mink fur hats require careful handling and proper care. We list the basic principles of caring for mink products:

  • drying should be done away from the battery and heating elements;
  • It is necessary to shake the hat several times after going outside;
  • leave the clothes outdoors more often and store them in a spacious closet; to maintain the quality and shine of the fur, they must constantly “breathe”;
  • It is better to remove strong stains with professional dry cleaning;
  • You need to have an air humidifier next to your valuable fur; this will allow you to regularly “water” the pile and keep it fresh and elastic;
  • never use a hairdryer to dry a wet hat; just shake off the mink fur and leave it in a well-ventilated area until it dries completely (then shake it well again);
  • to fight moths, use special tablets, not aerosols and sprays;
  • do not spray perfume or deodorant on the product;
  • allocate a separate place for storage; there is no need to wrap the cap in a plastic bag.

If the necessary storage conditions are observed, your precious purchase will last you a very long time.

§ 5. Fur hats

Assortment of hats

The range of hats is varied. In recent years, it has undergone significant changes due to the development of new models by industry and the use of new types of semi-finished products. In particular, men's hats are made from the skins of squirrel, red fox, and mink, which were previously considered women's fur. And vice versa, some models of women's hats are made from the skins of sea animals, opka, foals, etc., which were not used for them 8-10 years ago.

Table 36. Sizes of fur hats

Fur hats (according to gender and age) are produced for men, women, teenagers and children.

Women's hat designs change frequently; male, teenage and children's patterns are more consistent. Based on the material of the top, hats can be all-fur, made entirely of fur, and combined - with leather, knitted and fabric tops, or faux fur tops. The size of fur hats (Table 36) is determined by the circumference of the inner side of the lower side or on the Mig machine. It should correspond to the full circumference of the head in centimeters at the level of the middle of the forehead and the most convex part of the back of the head. Hats are sorted according to GOST 10325-79.

The length of the parts of the headdress is measured with a metal tape measure or a ruler with millimeter divisions: fur - from the outside, combined - from the subfacial parts without measuring the hair.

Basic technological operations

The process of making hats includes production sorting, preparatory operations, cutting, assembly (joining).

Production sorting

consists in the selection of semi-finished fur products, fabric, leather, insulating materials and accessories for the manufacture of hats.

The hair of hats made from skins or parts of skins of the same type must be selected according to color, color, height, thickness, softness, shine and shape of curls.

On products, natural differences in thickness, height and color of the hair are allowed depending on the topographic area of the skin, as well as a combination of different colors in accordance with the sample.

The front side of the hat parts should be made from the best parts of the skin.

Holes, tears, breaks, bald spots, and worn-out hair must be repaired. Inserts and attachments must be selected so that they do not stand out against the general background of the product.

Preparatory operations

include picking, sorting, moistening and drying. The principle of collecting skins for hats is the same as for other fur products. After sorting, the skins are moistened, straightened on sliding frames or manually. The dried semi-finished product is assembled in batches for the manufacture of hats of a certain model.

Fur hats consist of the following main parts: 1) a cap (top) of fur, leather or cloth, forming the head of the headdress, 2) front and subfacial (external and internal) fur parts adjacent to the cap - a band (fur neckline), 3) crown - the lining of the headdress, made of various fabrics, 4) flooring on the crown (lining and insulating materials made from sheets of cotton wool), 5) accessories (braid, buttons, buttons).

Each model, when changing individual details of the fur top (neckline), can have an unlimited number of options. Each option has its own number (for example, earflaps with a combined cap - 19, all-fur - 21). Headgear of each model and each size has a certain luggage area (Table 37).

Table 37. Luggage area for making hats of size 58

Cutting is a very responsible operation. Before cutting, the skins are moistened, straightened, defects are removed, and cut into parts in such a way that the most valuable parts of the skins are used for the manufacture of expensive hats, as well as for more important parts.

The skins are cut according to templates. The direction of hair on parts of headdresses should be upward or left to right.

Each detail of the fur top of the headdress (visor, headphones and back covers) is cut out separately (Fig. 45). The backplate and headphones can be cut out together (in the form of a boot). When cutting the skin, inserts and attachments are allowed in all details, which must be selected so that they do not stand out against the general background of the cut.

Rice. 45. Band of a hat with earflaps: 1 - visor; 2 — headphones; 3 — backplate; B1 - height of the visor; B2 - earphone height; B3 - height of the backplate; L1 - visor length; L2 - earphone length; L3 - length of the butt plate

Assembly

- the connection of all parts is carried out as follows. The headphones are sewn to the back cover, the visor is sewn to the headphones. The side parts of the fur visor are fastened to the fur of the headphones with a paperclip 0.8-1 cm long. Then the fur cutout is straightened, the seams are lightly hammered with a hammer and all irregularities are removed.

For the manufacture of caps and internal parts of combined headdresses, cloth, leather and other materials are used; The crown is made separately.

The dolnik and circle (Fig. 46) are made of lining and flooring. The lining is made from radome, twill, double satin, satin nouveau, etc., the flooring is made from two layers of cotton wool: clothing and sheet glued (sometimes from glued gauze). The dolnik is sewn with straight parallel lines, located at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from each other. The circle of the crown is sewn in the form of a diamond with three to four parallel seams on each side at a distance of 1-1.5 cm from one another. The manufacturer's mark should be affixed to the center of the mug on the lining.

Rice. 46. Crown of a hat with earflaps: a — cap; b - circle; in - dolnik

The top of the cap is made of cloth or leather. The cap of four or six wedges and the under-face parts of the earphone with the backplate are sewn together on a sewing machine. The length of the staples should be no more than 1 cm. The fur top of the under-face part is sewn to the lower side of the cap evenly, without shrinking or stretching. In cloth caps, the central seam should converge with the central seam of the backplate and the middle of the visor, and in leather caps - with the center of the backplate and the center of the visor.

The fur top is sewn to a leather or cloth under-face piece, starting from a paper clip. When connecting the front and back parts, the seams must match to avoid distortion of the product. After stitching the front and back parts, the crown is sewn inside the cap. Having connected the crown with the fur top and cap, the earflaps are straightened on special forms, cleaned and ironed.

The sequence of technological operations depends on the model of the headgear.

Men's combined hats

Combined headdresses include a hat with earflaps, a finka, a kubanka, a boyarka, and a papakha.

The combined hat with earflaps is made with leather, velor, fabric and faux fur tops (model 19). It consists of a top, a visor, headphones, back covers, a cap (four-wedge made of cloth or six-wedge made of leather), crown and insulating lining (Fig. 47).

Rice. 47. Fur top (a), cap and under-face parts (b) of a hat with earflaps in finished form: 1 - visor; 2 — headphones; 3 — backplate; 4 and 5 — cap wedges; 6 — subfacial visor; 7 — subfacial earphone; 8 — subfacial backplate

A fur (leather, cloth) cap and crown are usually produced on different conveyors, and then selected into kits and sewn together. With such an organization of production, with less time spent, it is possible to achieve the greatest output of high-quality products.

When making a crown, first the lining parts are laid on top of the insulating materials. On sewing machines 22-A, 24 and 252 cl. The width of the wedge is sewn with straight lines, placing one from the other at a distance of 1-1.2 cm. Curly stitching of the wedge in the form of a herringbone, straight track, knee-length, checkered and diamond-shaped is allowed.

Recently, shape-resistant non-woven materials that do not need to be quilted have been developed and are increasingly used in the manufacture of headwear. In this regard, there are no traditional stitches on the crown of headdresses; the lining is glued to the crown.

The bottom of the crown with the manufacturer's mark in the center is sewn with two intersecting lines, forming a diamond in the center. The ends of the cut wall of the crown are sewn on a 22-A class sewing machine. with a seam 0.5-0.6 cm wide. At the same time, a marking tape indicating the size, height, price and date of manufacture is sewn into the same seam. All lining details are sewn with threads matching the color of the fabric.

The cloth cap is sewn from wedges on a 22-A class sewing machine. with a seam 0.5-0.1 cm wide and stitched on one side at a distance of 0.2 cm from the main seam. The central stitch seam of the subfacial backplate has a width of 0.5-0.6 cm. The subfacial backplate is stitched in the same way as the cap wedges. The visor is fastened to the headphones with a seam 1.5-1.7 cm long, 0.5-0.6 cm wide, followed by stitching towards the visor.

The fabric cap and the under-face parts for the ears, backdrop, and visor are cut out of cloth along the base. Inserts in cloth ears and backdrops are not allowed; the visor may have an insert made of material of the same color.

At the top of the headphones (towards the center) on the front side, apply a braid 16-17 cm long and stitch it at a distance of 0.2 cm from the edge. To connect the under-face rim and cap, the middle of the visor and the middle of the backplate are combined with the central seam of the cap. In this case, a 16 cm long hole under the visor is left unsewn for unscrewing the hat. A strip of keeper tape 1.5 cm wide or cotton fabric 1.8-2 cm wide is sewn onto the sewn cap from the side of the subfacial layer, which should protrude 1 cm above the base of the cap. The stitching should not be located above the seam connecting the sub-facial window with the cap.

A leather cap is made in the same sequence as a cloth cap. The seams, the width of which is 0.2 cm, are not stitched, but are unstitched on both sides of the connecting seam, laying keeper tape 1.5 cm wide or strips of cotton fabric 2 cm wide along the entire length of the seam. The seams connecting the visor to the headphones are also unstitched.

Assembling and sewing a hat with earflaps with a cloth and leather cap on a conveyor consists of 23 operations:

1) accepted and marked parts are placed in the cells of the conveyor;

2) the caps are moistened with water at a temperature of 20-25 ° C and kept for 7-10 minutes;

3) a leather cap for covering is put on the electroform, heated to a temperature of 55-60 °C. The cap with the headphones raised is placed face up on the uniform. Backfills are inserted between the cap and the sub-face band. The electroform is moved apart to ensure complete expansion of the cap and kept in this position for 2-3 minutes. The cloth cap is placed on the electroform of the OP-1 spudge press at a temperature of 120 °C. The duration of steaming the cloth cap is 30 s;

4) the front rim is connected to the under-face one using a 10-5 cl. sewing machine, starting from the place where the visor is attached to the headphones. If the necklace is turned out through the holes in the lower side of the backplate, then a keeper tape 1.5 cm wide or a strip of cotton fabric 16-17 cm long is sewn to the front side of the backplate;

5) the workpiece is stitched using a 10-B class machine. from the side of the subfacial part along the line of connection of the facial frame with the subfacial one;

6) remove the visor, backplate and headphones using a metal sliding blade. The seams along the upper and lower sides are aligned so that the fur extends 0.3-0.5 cm onto the under-face part. The earflap hat is folded so that the inverted visor, headphones and back cover are bent inside the cap;

7) the lining is turned out and inserted into the cap with a connecting seam to the middle of the backplate;

8) the lining is fastened with fur using a 10-B class sewing machine. in the center of the visor and backplate. Starting from the place of fastening, the fur top is connected to the lining along the entire circumference, bending the fur top (fluff). A selection attached to the cap is sewn along the seam of the flap. At the same time, to unscrew the hat through the visor, a hole 16-17 cm long is left unsewn under it. If you plan to manually close ear flaps with a leather cap, the lining is fastened to the fur top only in the center of the visor. The connection around the circumference begins from the edge of the sewing of the lining to the backplate, leaving a 16-17 cm long hole in the center of the backplate unsewn. Then the selection is sewn to the seam of the connection between the cap and the under-face trim;

9) the hat with earflaps is turned out through the holes under the visor or under the back of the head; first the headphones, then the back cover and visor;

10) if the unscrewing was done through the hole under the visor, re-insertion is performed using a 10-B class machine. To do this, the edge of the cap is secured along the seam connecting the lining and the fur top symmetrically with respect to the central seam of the cap. Then the subfacial visor is sewn to the cap;

11) if the cap with earflaps was turned out through the hole under the back of the head, re-punching is done manually. The edge of the lining is folded inward by 0.5 cm and sewn with hidden stitches. Stitch frequency 4 stitches per 1 cm;

12) the lining and fur top are cleaned with a mechanical brush from dust and cut hair;

13) the lowered visor, headphones and backplate are straightened manually and passed through the rollers of a machine for crimping the sides of the cap. After this, the specified parts of the earflap hat are lifted, straightened manually, the lower side and the hat are passed twice between the rollers of the machine;

14) a hat with earflaps with a cloth cap is put on the electric mold of the OP-1 steaming press (temperature 120 °C, steaming duration 30 s);

15) the earflap hat is adjusted in the electroform unit. Before straightening, the lining is slightly moistened with water using a spray bottle. The cap with earflaps is put on the electric uniform so that the seams of the cap are symmetrically located in relation to the visor and the backplate. The visor and headphones are fastened with a clamp, and a pad is inserted between the cap, the under-face visor and the backplate. Align the lower and upper sides of the visor, headphones and backplate. The electroform is expanded 2-3 sizes larger than the specified size until the cap is completely straightened. The curves of the headphones are straightened and secured with clamps. The cap is kept on the electroform for 8-10 minutes at a temperature of 100-110 °C;

16) after removing the earflap hat from the electric mold, a visor is sewn to the cap from the hairline side

cover on the machine 569 or 27 cl. at a distance of 2 -2.5 cm from the edge with a weak thread tension;

17) lightly comb the hair with a metal comb along the seams and in places where there are marks from the clamps. Using scissors, align the hair along the upper and lower sides of all parts;

18) the lining and fur top of the hat are cleaned with a brush from dust and cut hair;

19) determine the size of the hat with earflaps and indicate it on the product label;

20) hats with earflaps are sorted according to the requirements of GOST 10325-79;

21) on the marking tape they put the price, grade, size;

22) the product label is attached to the upper side of the backplate, the ends of the threads must fall into the seal;

23) finished hats are delivered to the warehouse.

Men's all-fur hats

All-fur headdresses include earflaps, Gogol, Ukrainian, semi-Ukrainian, badeyka, boyarka, Moscow, sports, Leningrad, Olympic, youth, Eskimo (Fig. 48).

Rice. 48. All-fur men's hats: a - earflap hat; b - gogol; c - Ukrainian; g - semi-Ukrainian; d - Moscow; e - Olympic; g - sports; z - Eskimo

The hat with earflaps has a fur top, consisting of a cap, a visor, headphones with ties and a back cover.

From the best rump parts of the skin, the visor, backplate and ears are cut out, from the average quality parts - cap wedges, from the worst parts - under-face parts (backpad, ears, visor). The spine of the skin should run through the center of the visor and backplate, the hair of the fur cover should be directed upward. In the cap, the opposite direction of hair in the wedges is allowed, as well as one-way direction from the visor to the back of the head.

Assembly and finishing processes during the production of all-fur hats with ear flaps from sheepskin, rabbit and muskrat skins on a conveyor belt consist of the following operations:

acceptance of the semi-finished product, i.e. checking the compliance of the received batch of parts with the accompanying document regarding the number of sets and parts, as well as quality control of the received parts. The set of parts (in pieces) for hats with earflaps should include: cap - 2; face visor - 1, sub-facial visor - 1, face headphones - 2, sub-face headphones - 2, face back-piece - 1, under-face back-piece - 1. The crown lining consists of a circle, a dolnik or a crown wall. The circle and section of the bedding under the crown each include one piece. Visor and surround

the blanks also include one piece each (two headphones and a back cover are connected into one piece of the blank);

launching parts with markings, i.e., the lining is marked so that its seams coincide with the seams of the sub-facial part in the center of the visor, backplate and cap - in the middle of the front and rear halves. The parts of the hat with earflaps are placed in the cradles of the conveyor in the order of assembly of the hat;

Sewing a fur top involves several operations. Darts are made in the cap and the halves of the cap are sewn together. The visor is connected to the headphones of the subfacial layer. The length of the seam is 1.5-1.7 cm. When turning out hats with ear flaps through the hole in the lower side of the backplate, the under-face layer and the cap are connected along the entire circumference, and when turning out through the visor under it, a hole 16 cm long is left unsewn. In this case, the marks must match exactly subfacial layer with marks on the cap. On the side of the cap, along the entire perimeter, sew a lobe strip (bottom side blank) of canvas 3 cm wide and 4 cm long greater than the corresponding size of the earflap hat;

on the side of the underfacial layer, a keeper tape 1.5 cm wide or a strip of cotton fabric 1.8-2 cm wide is sewn. For hats with an inversion through the hole under the visor, the keeper tape is sewn around the perimeter; for hats with an inversion through the hole, the lower side of the backplate remains free hole in the center of the backplate 16-17 cm long;

The visor is connected to the front layer headphones. The length of the seam is 2-2.2 cm. A keeper tape 1.5 cm wide or a strip of cotton fabric 1.8-2 cm wide and 16-17 cm long is sewn to the lower side of the front cover in the center of the backplate;

The front layer of the fur top of the hat with earflaps is connected to the under-face layer. First, the visor is sewn to the headphones, while a small fit of the fur top is made on the side curves of the visor and headphones;

simultaneously with the connection of the headphones, a braid 16-17 cm long is sewn in the center and stitched at a distance of 0.2-0.3 cm from the edge. The braid should protrude by 0.5 cm. Stitch frequency 4-5 cm; seam height 0.2-0.25 cm; sewing needles No. 90-100; cotton threads No. 30-40 in the color of the leather fabric.

Next, the following operations are performed: sewing on the workpiece, moistening, curing, unscrewing the visor, headphones and backplate, straightening the fur top, inserting the crown, machine closing, unscrewing, refilling, sewing, manual refilling, cleaning, crimping the sides, straightening, fastening the visor to the cap, finishing and hand cleaning, sizing and grading.

The listed technological operations in the manufacture of an all-fur fur hat with earflaps are performed in the same way as in the manufacture of a combined hat with earflaps.

All-fur fur hats with ear flaps are made from the skins of dyed rabbits, rabbits shorn and dressed as seals, astrakhan fur, smushka, merlushka, dyed webbing, sheared, dyed and specially processed sheepskin, skins of domestic cats, otters, muskrats, squirrel backbones, fawns, hamsters, water rat, gopher, nutria. Recently, an all-fur fur hat with earflaps with a visor curved down, made of rabbit skins and sheepskin, has been in great demand.

Gogol

- an all-fur headdress, consisting of the following parts: a fur top (of two or four wedges), a crown and a covering made of two layers of cotton wool, as well as a blank 9 cm high to protect it from creasing. The blank is made from side hair or side canvas, which is sewn with a zigzag stitch. This headdress is made in three sizes. Height (height) is measured from the outside in front from the side of the cap in the direction of the hairline through the center of the top to the other side.

Cap height, mm: 1st height - 495; 2nd - 400 and 3rd - 475. Cap sizes of 1st height - 63, 62, 61, 60; 2nd height - 59, 58, 57; 3rd height - 56.55 cm.

The fur cut area of the hats is approximately 11 dm2.

Hats are made from sheepskin, astrakhan fur, smushka, whiting, otter, fur seal, nutria, muskrat and rabbit skins dressed as seals.

Hats for teenagers

Models of fur hats for teenagers are varied. They are made from cheap semi-finished fur (rabbit skins, sheepskin).

Currently, men's, teenagers' and children's hats have begun to be made from fur and sheepskin coats treated to look like velor, and some models are made without textile lining and insulating materials. These headdresses can be turned out and worn with the hair either inside or outside the product. Such products consist of two halves connected by one shaped seam running in the middle of the headdress from the edge of the back plate through the cap to the visor.

Special models of headdresses made of fur velor have been developed: earflaps, hood, half-Eskimo, Olympic, etc.

Hats for teenagers are made from the skins of long-haired, dyed rabbits, as well as from sheepskin of a special and simple processing, dyed black or otter brown. In a hat with earflaps, the front parts of the visor, headphones, and back cover consist of sheepskin or rabbit skins, while the under-face parts and cap are made of artificial fur, cloth or knitwear.

The direction of hair on the parts of the front parts, visor, headphones and backplate made of sheepskin or rabbit skins is from bottom to top; on the cap and under-face parts made of faux fur - from bottom to top and top to bottom.

Children's hats

Children's fur hats come in the following models: hat with earflaps, finka, half-Eskimo hat, badeyka with ears, all-fur bonnet, hood with a cloth top, hood of four wedges with a sharp head, beret of six wedges, kubanka. The most common headdress for school-age boys is the earflap hat.

Children's hats with earflaps can be made entirely of fur or combined with a cloth or leather top.

A children's hat with earflaps is similar to a hat with earflaps for adults, only its parts are smaller in size and the least valuable semi-finished fur product is used for their production: sheepskin, goat fur, whiting, strap and skins of a domestic cat. The top of the cap is sewn from wool blend fabrics, and the lining is from Ratin.

For preschool children, they mainly make half-Eskimo and hood. A children's all-fur half-Eskimo jacket is made from sheepskin, straps and lambskin. The headdress consists of a strap cut from the spinal part of the skin and two ears (cheeks). The direction of the hair is from front to back. The crown is sewn from cotton, semi-silk and silk fabrics. The sheepskin consumption for one Full-fur half-Eskimo jacket is 11 dm2. For girls, the most common headdress is an all-fur bonnet of various models.

Women's hats

Models of women's fur hats are varied (Fig. 49) and change frequently. Women's hats are made in semi-rigid, hard and soft shapes. Semi-rigid and rigid headgear are molded products with a slightly moistened and then glued lining consisting of two or three layers of gauze. Soft-shaped hats are made with a lining made of collar fabric, slightly moistened before editing, or from gauze.

Rice. 49. Women's fur head supports: a - current; b - cap on the head; c - boyarka; g - hat with brim: d - beret; e - turban

Women's fur hats are made from all types of fur raw materials, except for particularly heavy ones (wolf, jackal, bear skins). Women's all-fur headdresses (earflap hats, hats with brims, berets, boyarka, gogol, Ukrainian, semi-Ukrainian), in contrast to men's all-fur headwear, are made from skins with thin leather fabric. No cotton wool (or batting) is placed between the fur top and the lining, but glued gauze or canvas is used for stability (especially of fur hats). Silk or semi-silk fabrics are used for lining. The lining is not stitched.

Women's hats are also made from felt, velvet, knitwear and other materials, trimmed with skins (or their individual parts) of mink, ermine, kolinsky, marten, and sable.

There are several basic forms of women's fur hats that have become classic: tok, cap on the head, beret, hat with brim, cap with earflaps, boyarka.

Based on these forms, various options are created that correspond to the fashion direction. The most stable are the boyarka and the earflap hat.

The women's all-fur boyarka consists of a fur band, a cap and a lining. The cap can have a round or pointed shape. The front band is cut from the skins of muskrat, mink and sable. The cap can be cut out from the same types of raw materials or from others (astrakhan fur, cat rabbit, smushka).

When cutting out the facial band, the direction of the hairline should be from left to right when looking at the headdress from top to bottom; in this case, the spinal part of the skin should coincide with the center of the band. When cutting mink skins, you should pay special attention to the back seam, which should not stand out at the ends of the band.

When cutting out parts of a muskrat headdress, two side seams are obtained on the collar. These seams should be invisible. The best quality skin is placed on the front of the headdress.

The direction of the hair on the cap should be from front to back. When cutting out a cap using a four-wedge pattern, the direction of the hair should be from front to back or from left to right. The height of the cap rim is 10 cm. The crown consists of a dolnik and a circle. The underfacial part of the crown is sewn from two layers of gauze.

Requirements for the quality of hats

To make hats, skins must be used that are uniform in appearance, color, shine, curls, density, height and softness of the hair. The facial parts of the headdresses should be cut out from the best parts of the skins. The spine lines of the skins and the hair pattern should be located symmetrically with respect to the front parts of the headdress. Inserts and cut attachments should not stand out against the general background of fur products. The quality of the butt (lining, crown, wadding, batting) must match the quality, and the color of the lining must match the color of the fur top. The color of the fur trim should be in harmony with the color of the material from which the product is made. For the lining of men's and boys' hats, a lining made of cotton or sheet wool, gauze or non-woven fabric is required, which is sewn on a sewing machine with parallel, cranked or diamond-shaped stitches.

The sequence of inspection of the headdress is as follows: take the product with both hands, shake it and, putting it on the left hand, rotate it with the right hand, checking the evenness of the bottom line of the side, the correct location and selection of parts, the symmetry of the spinal lines or curls, the stitching of the details of the leather or textile cap, the presence sewiness.

During acceptance, headdresses are inspected from the outside, then the crown is checked, having first turned it towards the light.

After inspecting the appearance of the hats with ear flaps, turn off the fur top to check the under-face part and the bottom of the cap. It is necessary to ensure that for hats with earflaps, the visor with earphones from the side of the under-face part is connected with a paper clip at a distance of 0.8-1 cm. The wedges of the cap, the under-face parts of the backplate and earphones in combined hats should be stitched on both sides in details from leather and stitched on one side in fabric parts. The connecting seam of the lining of the dolnik should be located in the middle of the back of the headdress. The following are allowed in headdresses: the underfacial non-turning side of parts made of two or three parts with slight differences in shades, inserts and attachments on all parts of headdresses.

What is the price

The price of a mink hat is directly proportional to the quality of the fur, seams, fittings and brand accessories. The pricing policy is significantly influenced by the color of the fur: rare shades are always more expensive. The price also includes the amount of fur, the shape of the hat and labor resources. Never buy something cheap - good fur, be it fox or mink, cannot be cheap by definition. When buying a beret from a mink in a passage or at the market, get ready for unpleasant surprises.

Give preference to branded stores with a regular clientele and appropriate quality certificates.

The season of promotions and sales, which most often occurs in the summer, will allow you to save money. This will allow you to buy a quality product significantly lower than the original cost - by 50-70 percent.

The lower limit of 5-7 thousand rubles can be considered a completely acceptable affordable price for high-quality middle-class products. The more original the product you see, the more luxurious the fur, the higher the cost of the product rises. Some branded products are valued at tens of thousands, others start at 35 thousand.

How to choose a fur hat? – styles, models, how to choose a hat.

A fur hat is not only an elegant accessory that can complement any look, but also a necessary element of your wardrobe. The hat saves you from hypothermia even in the most severe frosts and helps you stay healthy in any weather. Unique hat designs are a common part of many famous designer collections. They are a great addition to any outfit and go well with any look.

Stylish looks

Beautiful women's hats made of mink fur allow every fashionista to effortlessly create incredibly stylish outfits for the winter.

If you are a supporter of classic solutions in clothing, then you will certainly like the graceful and elegant ball cap in black. Creating looks with it is easy and simple, as it matches any fur coat or sheepskin coat, including most long down jackets.

A black or gray beret is also versatile. Moreover, you can complement colored clothing sets with such options.

A cap made of mink in the shape of a cap looks incredibly feminine and graceful on a fragile person. A platinum blonde should buy a light lilac version, which emphasizes the young lady’s delicate northern appearance.

There is nothing more enchanting than a walnut-colored mink cap on a bright brunette. Even a very modest trapeze down jacket of chocolate or olive color will not spoil the impression.

Mouton hats

Mouton has been pleasing women for many years. Many representatives of the fairer sex prefer this particular fur. The mouton owes its popularity to several factors. Firstly, fur is unpretentious to use and does not require additional care beyond compliance with the rules that are intended for the operation of any fur headdress. Secondly, the mouton is quite pleasant and visually looks good. Thirdly, compared to other options, Mouton is a budget option.

A voluminous black mouton fur hat is combined with a turtleneck sweater, a gray skirt, above the knees, a mid-thigh length leather jacket, a small envelope bag and gray low-top boots.

A black mouton fur hat will complement a short beige fur coat, straight cut, black trousers and high black boots with heels.

A voluminous hat made of black mouton harmonizes with a light pink coat, straight cut, below the knee length, trousers with a checkered print, a small bag and high-heeled sandals.

A round-shaped mouton fur hat looks good with a short blue leather jacket, a black skirt, above the knee length, a small briefcase and black low-top boots.

Since mouton is easy to make, there are quite a lot of models of women's hats made from mouton. The only drawback is the fact that it does not hold its shape well, so products made from such fur are quite soft. For models that need to keep their shape, such as Kubanks, a mouton is not suitable. However, there are also advantages to this. Volumetric headdresses made of mouton look great. Such models include stocking caps and berets.

A black mouton fur hat will look great with a dark blue jumpsuit, a fitted silhouette, long voluminous sleeves, a short fur coat with a print, a brown clutch and black high-heeled ankle boots.

A dark brown fur hat with a black mouton trim will create a stylish look with a printed sweater, a pink skirt, straight cut, below the knee length, a fitted coat, a small bag and high-heeled sandals.

The choice of outerwear in this case depends on the specific model of the hat. If you prefer a voluminous beret, complement it with classic things. In the case of stocking caps and beanie hats, you can allow yourself some experiments.

There is no such thing as cheap mink!

In addition to their design qualities, mink hats are also distinguished by a number of features. The first of these is the high price. This is the case when you cannot say that they can be bought cheap. There is no such thing as cheap mink fur. If it is cheap, then we are talking about poor quality of the product. In addition to this basic quality, mink fur has a number of other advantages.

What hat to wear with a fur coat?

Actually, today, when everything is mixed up in the Oblonskys’ house to such an extent that it is acceptable to wear classic pumps even with sports trousers there are practically no clear rules that would dictate .

However, most likely, a kubanka or boyarka made from mink is unlikely to go well with a sports down jacket or insulated parka, and a Norwegian hat with a cheerful pattern will not go well with a long chinchilla fur coat.

Let's say more - a floor-length fur coat made of chinchilla or mink is appropriate to wear in the evening - to a social party, the opening of a festival, to a theater or restaurant, i.e., places where you usually go by taxi or car. This means that the likelihood that your head will freeze is minimal. In addition, you are unlikely to want to wrinkle your hair with a hat if you did it specifically for the occasion... So in the evenings, do not wear a hat with an expensive mink or chinchilla coat.
