A lynx fur coat is a status and expensive item. The fur of this animal is considered rare and is highly valued for its luxurious palette of shades. In nature, there are lynxes of dark and light colors. The animal's skin may have unusual inclusions and stripes. The brighter and more contrasting the stripes on the pile, the more expensive the fur coat is. A lynx fur coat is truly an expensive thing that can turn a woman into a queen.

Types of fur

To sew women's lynx coats in the fur industry, the skins of Canadian, red and common lynx are used. The fur of each type has distinctive features. For example, the Canadian lynx has a browner coat than the red one.

The common lynx, also called white or Russian, has a light belly (sometimes white) and long, thick hair. This animal is considered very rare; it is practically impossible to buy the skin of an ordinary lynx legally. When buying a fur coat made from natural lynx fur, you need to be careful - often unscrupulous sellers, under the guise of white lynx, offer to purchase another material that has been bleached. The red lynx is still found in nature. This animal is small in size, has a white belly and short hair of incomparable colors.

Recommendations for selection

A lynx fur coat is a luxurious purchase! In such a fur coat you will not remain unnoticed by passers-by.

Since the product has a high cost, you need to be able to choose it correctly so as not to buy a low-quality fur product instead of a luxurious fur coat.

  • A mandatory attribute of a lynx fur coat is its high price. The lighter the fur of the product, the more expensive it is. The high price is explained by the fact that tens or even hundreds of skins are needed to make one product.
  • The product must correspond to the rhythm of life. Lady drivers will buy a fur coat in vain, as it will become shabby behind the wheel and lose its attractive appearance. It is advisable to purchase a shortened version.
  • Choose a product according to your figure. Keep in mind that classic models will not lose their relevance for a long period of time.
  • The fur must be uncut.
  • The seams must be even.
  • After purchasing the product you should be given a warranty card.
  • Do not purchase a product that is tight to your body. The fur coat should be free, nothing should hinder your movements.

Please note that there are unscrupulous sellers who offer a fur coat made from inexpensive fur under the guise of a product made from lynx. Products made from lynx fur must have a quality certificate, which you have the right to request when inspecting the product or purchasing it.

What is it like, a lynx fur coat?

Lynx fur is rare and expensive. Clothing made from such skins is a great option to attract attention, emphasize status and elegance. In the photo below you can see that the fur coats differ in length and style. Beauties, regardless of age, can choose a stylish model.

Lynx cat fur

The fur of a lynx cat is slightly different from that of a lynx. Cat fur has a more contrasting color, the spots on the skin are clearly visible. The hair of a lynx cat is lower and not as light. The value of the skin is determined by the white belly of the animal. The fur of a lynx cat naturally has a unique color, so it is not dyed, appreciating the natural tone.

Winter hair is more expensive than summer hair or any other hair, since in snowy weather the animal’s fur is warm and very thick. The length of the pile can reach 6 centimeters. To make fur coats, the skins are plucked; cutting is prohibited. A fur coat made from the fur of a lynx cat has a rich color and bright pattern.

Features you need to know about

To avoid getting caught in fake fur, you need to know that lynx skin is a long-haired species. There are contrasting bright spots on the sides of the animal, as can be seen in the photo. On white skin, black spots look very clear. The skin is assessed by its width - the larger it is, the more expensive the skin is.

How not to be confused with a fake

You can distinguish a natural product from a fake by long guard hairs and characteristic spots on the abdominal part. The skin can be confused with a lynx cat, but its fur is not so long and has a contrasting dark shade.

You can distinguish natural fur from artificial fur by the fact that natural fur is not plucked or cut. Natural pile reaches a length of 4 to 6 cm. A lynx fur coat is not sewn for mass production. If the department has a lot of products made from this fur, then you should think twice and ask to see the documents. Modern fur coats are equipped with special chips that store all the information about the extraction of skins taken for sewing. If such a chip and passport are not attached to a fur coat or jacket, then most likely it is faux fur or a fake.

Fur

A lynx coat can be long or short. The longer the product, the higher its cost. Basically, they use only a few skins and simply complement the item with them. The edges of the skins are not processed, which makes it possible to distinguish fur from artificial or fake fur.

A jacket with lynx fur is usually only complemented by such elite material. Most often it is used to treat the hood, edges, and cuffs. At the same time, the jacket looks great. The base is made of genuine leather. The black base of the jacket goes well with the white skin.

The white fox is often painted to look like a lynx. In this case, you should carefully examine the skin - lynx-dyed spots will not look natural. You can distinguish the fur from a lynx cat by its fullness, which is characteristic only of a natural lynx.

Before you decide on a purchase, you need to know exactly what natural lynx wool looks like and is different from. In addition, you should not pay attention to cheap products, since lynx fur is of particular value and is mined in limited quantities.

Features and Benefits

The fur of Canadian, common and red lynx is used to make fur coats. Each animal is unique in its coloring. Lynx fur from the abdominal part is exclusive, textured and valuable. Products made from them are considered the softest and most pleasant to the touch. Skins from the back and sides are used to make finishing elements. Cuffs, pockets, a belt or a hood trimmed with lynx fur look very nice.

Pros and cons of lynx fur

  • Products made from lynx fur have average wear resistance compared to other delicate furs. Fur is highly valued, however, it is very fragile.
  • Light weight of skins. The area of the skin is quite large, but it is light in weight.
  • High heat-saving properties. In frosty weather, the product will protect you from severe weather.
  • Attractiveness of products.
  • Pleasant sensations upon contact with the skin.

Lynx skin is not uniform, and the price varies depending on the part of the skin. The most expensive part is the belly area, since the fur there is softer and airier. The fur color is yellowish or white, decorated with black spots.

Lynx fur from the back area is considered inexpensive. The fur in this part has low pile.

To make luxury products, manufacturers use only fur from the belly.

To make middle-class fur coats, manufacturers use the entire skin. Moreover, the fur from the abdominal area will be located in a visible place. More often it is used to make a collar or decorate the chest area.

How much does a lynx fur coat cost?

This outfit is an expensive pleasure. The high cost is fully justified, since the fur is rare and has a unique appearance. In the wild, the number of lynx is low, the animals are not bred in captivity, and it is very difficult to obtain a shooting license. The price of a fur coat depends on the absence of defects in the fur and on the parts of the skins that are used to make the item. If you make an approximate classification based on prices for lynx coats, you will get the following:

  • An outfit made from the backs of animals costs from 70 thousand rubles. But many well-known brands do not sew products from backs.
  • Fur products from the side parts. They are distinguished by a yellow-golden hue. The price of such fur coats starts from 100-130 thousand rubles.
  • Fur coats made from lynx belly skins cost from 250 thousand rubles.

A cheaper option for a fur coat would be a product, for example, made from mink, trimmed with lynx fur. It is difficult to name the cost of such a thing, since the price will vary depending on the length and decor.

Spotting parameter

Since lynx fur is considered elite, it is very expensive. The cost of the skins will also depend on such a parameter as spotting. The most valuable skin belongs to the Scandinavian lynx.

Short fur coat with the grace of a lynx

This fur coat has the highest parameters, such as:

  • softness;
  • density;
  • wear resistance;
  • beautiful color.

One of the main parameters is considered to be a black or gray inclusion. The clearer the spots, the more valuable the skin.

Stylish warm fur coat

Fashionable styles

When purchasing a fur coat made entirely from lynx skins, you need to choose the style very carefully. It is recommended to give preference to a simple cut, this will allow the product to sparkle with all its colors. Trapezoidal cut styles look stylish and sophisticated. Products with short sleeves, stand-up collars and asymmetrical hems are also in fashion. Overweight girls should avoid wearing such clothes. Long pile will add unwanted volume. If a woman really wants to have an expensive item, then it is recommended to choose a combined fur coat. Its cost will be lower, and it will fit better on your figure. Lynx fur coats, if you look at photos of fashion catalogs, look stylish and modern. A style tailored to your figure will make a woman look luxurious.

Hooded

A lynx fur coat with a hood is an excellent option for ladies who do not wear hats to protect their hair. The hood will reliably protect your head from the cold and will look like a harmonious addition to the fur product.

With a collar

For women who do not like to wear a scarf, an excellent fur coat model would be one with a collar that will protect against the cold. This style looks luxurious and emphasizes the elegance of a lady.

Lynx and lynx cat

Lynx has long been a desirable prey for hunters. But not many hunters have been lucky enough to meet a lynx in the wild. But anyone who managed to see it at least once in a winter forest, among spruce trees crushed by snow, or in the transparent binding of dark trunks of a young aspen tree, or in sparkling frosty birch forest, will never forget this sight. With its ears carefully positioned, this large cat moves smoothly, easily, silently through the deep snow, somehow surprisingly merging with the shadows, dissolving in the play of light. Suddenly, unexpectedly freezing, she turns her head and fixes her eyes on you - wild, yellow, with black slit pupils. Another moment - and she had already disappeared, melted, as if she had never existed, and only the snow churned up during the jump confirms: the lynx just, this very second, stood here, ten steps away... And the hunter looks for a long time at the empty clearing, cursing his own luck and failure, regretting the missed moment: oh, damn, if only a little more... Today this animal is classified as a rare animal, and it is quite difficult to obtain a license to shoot it. This is due to the fact that lynx fur is quite expensive; sometimes a lynx fur coat is valued much higher than sable. As much as the lynx is graceful and beautiful, it is just as dangerous. A wild cat is a predatory animal, it sneaks up unnoticed and attacks unexpectedly. And with all this, she remains the queen of beauty among predators - a cat's look and luxurious fur with black splashes, like on a royal robe - the lynx beckons and fascinates. It is not surprising that lynx fur is chosen by ladies for whom comfortable living conditions mean the admiring glances of numerous fans. Amazingly beautiful, bright and incomparable lynx fur is an ideal way to attract attention.

Lynx fur is very beautiful - it shimmers in all shades of orange, golden, and brown. However, to sew truly valuable and fabulously expensive fur coats, comparable in price to the cost of a sports car, they use only delicate white fur with black spots (they are located on the animal’s abdomen). The more contrasting the black inclusions, the more expensive the fur is valued. The fact is that the size of the abdomen is only about 8 cm and one fur coat may require several hundred of these skins. Hence the sky-high price for products made from the belly of a lynx. The remaining parts go to less expensive products. JUN, coats made entirely from the “wombs” of a lynx, are a rarity even in boutiques; perhaps only famous Fashion Houses can afford such a luxury. In stores, lynx fur can mostly be found in the hat department or as a collar for a fur coat or coat.

Due to the beautiful natural color of lynx fur, it is not dyed or tinted and is used in its natural form in products.

The main suppliers of lynx for the fur industry are the USA and Canada, with the Canadian lynx being considered more valuable. The Canadian lynx differs from the Russian lynx in that the Russian lynx has a (mostly) white belly, while the Canadian lynx has a (mostly) yellowish belly the color of baked milk. Therefore, a good Canadian lynx cat is valued higher than a Canadian lynx. Russian lynx would be valued higher at auctions, but they are sold only privately, mainly from poaching sources.

Currently, lynx is common in Scandinavia and the northern regions of Russia. In the Russian fur industry, based on the quality of their fur, lynx is divided into reed, forest, Amur and steppe:

  • The reed lynx has coarse fur with a long awn of reddish-gray color.
  • The forest lynx has softer hair and a gray-sand color with frequent dark spots. The fluff is light blue.
  • The fur of the Amur lynx is tall, thick, and reddish-red in color.
  • The steppe cat has shorter hair, the gray color has a yellowish tint.

As with other types of fur, winter lynx fur is considered more valuable than summer fur. It is more delicate and fluffy, the color is not so intense. Summer fur is shorter and coarser. There are very few “correct” products made from lynx and lynx cat, therefore, like any exclusive, this is not so much “fashion” as “eternal value”. A more affordable analogue of lynx fur is the fur of a lynx cat, which is no less impressive and durable. Lynx and lynx cat are different animals. The lynx's hair is longer, but the spots on the belly are less pronounced; the lynx cat's spots are very beautiful, contrasting black on white, but the hair is shorter. The value of lynx fur is higher, the whiter the belly of the skin.

Since ancient times, for humans, a spotted pattern has been both dangerous and desirable. From an essential item to an enviable status symbol - this is the difficult path that the spotted skin has made. First as a hunting catch of a primitive man, then as an accessory of a victorious hero: a wild cat coat remains the main ladies' trophy this season. In the spiral of fashion, animal colors have returned again and again to the catwalks. This was the case in the thirties, forties, sixties, and nineties of the last century. The same will happen this winter.

Of course, the most luxurious additions are made from the lynx cat, the average price for a skin of which has exceeded well over $300, and the best specimens are sold not far from the rubicon line of $1000. Well, this is luxury in the style of Belle Duc, Jacqueline Kennedy and the heroines of Dynasty. However, with the help of modern technologies, any type of fur can achieve the desired “wild print” - be it a muskrat or a beaver, a raccoon or a mink. Lynx Cat NAFA Northern The luxurious combination of black and white on the silky fur of the Lynx Cat adequately represents this trend. Only the most beautiful part of the skin is used - the belly.

When finishing the inside of the hood, most often, they take the skin of a lynx (lynx cat), cut along the back and finish the inside of the hood in this way: the white “valuable” part is located along the outer contour, towards the face, and the yellow back goes deep into the hood, closer to the back of the head and is practically invisible, even when the hood is folded back. This is the most economically feasible; almost never (in any case, we have not encountered) the inside of the hood is not finished with the abdominal part of the lynx. If the hood (or collars) are trimmed with the back part of the skin, there is very little white there, 1-2 cm. Most often, skins cut in half along the back are placed crosswise. The wear life of lynx and lynx cat fur is three times less than that of mink.

Lynx, Eurasian lynx, common lynx (lat. Lynx lynx) is a species of mammal from the genus lynx. The name most likely comes from the Greek word for "red". Sometimes called the Eurasian lynx, but both spellings are equivalent. The lynx occupies a very special place among the cats of the northern hemisphere. Her appearance itself is quite distinctive: a short body, high legs, a small, beautifully set head, wide ears ending in tassels, lush sideburns, a short, precisely chopped off tail. Lynx fur is thick and fluffy, especially in winter. The color is dominated by gray and reddish tones, usually small dark spots are clearly visible. The trot's movements are soft, full of strength and grace, its whole figure is unusually harmonious and at the same time impressive. Lynx is a typical forest inhabitant. In the open, it can only be found in the mountains, among rocks, and in the forest-tundra, where it occasionally appears during random visits. It was the connection with coniferous or mixed forests that allowed the lynx to populate vast spaces: its range covers the entire northern part of Eurasia and America. Along the mountain systems, the lynx, following the forests, penetrates far to the south - to the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Tien Shan, Mongolia, China and even Asia Minor. In the Soviet Union, the southern border of the lynx's range coincides with the southern limits of the forests and runs from Transcarpathia through the northern regions of the Kyiv, Chernigov, Zhitomir, Volyn and Ryazan regions and from there to the Penza region. Mordovian and Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republics, Southern Urals, Barabinsk steppe and Altai. However, at the limits of its distribution, the lynx is very rare, and in some places it may not have survived at all. Strange as it may seem at first glance, our knowledge about the lynx is quite meager. There is no consensus even regarding the systematic status of the lynx. The coloration and some other characteristics used by taxonomists are very variable in the lynx: this undoubtedly follows from its wide geographical distribution. American and Canadian researchers consider “their” northern lynx to be a separate species. European theriologists also distinguish the so-called leopard lynx as a special species, living in the Pyrenees and some other ranges of Spain, Greece, and Romania. Finally, proponents of the broad species concept tend to consider all these forms as a single species, divided into well-separated subspecies. This point of view seems to us the most acceptable and justified. Apparently, only the American red lynx stands somewhat apart, which, in all likelihood, can be considered an independent species, although here, too, additional research is needed to finally resolve the issue. The lynx is a large, strong predator. Body length 80-130 cm and 70 cm at the withers. Usually it weighs 10-15 kilograms, but occasionally you come across old males whose weight reaches more than thirty kilograms. Despite, however, its considerable size, the lynx is unusually agile, light, even graceful. Alone among all the cats of the Old and New Worlds, the lynx is capable of living in areas with deep snow cover; The wide feet of her paws, like snowshoes, allow her to move freely where most other animals find themselves helpless. The lynx climbs excellently and always escapes from under the dogs to a tree; swims well on occasion. In terms of its ability to hide and hide, the lynx has almost no equal in animals. You can be close to her many times and not even suspect her presence. As a matter of fact, only in winter, by following its tracks, can this invisible creature be discovered. The lynx's track is round, "cat-like"; If several animals are walking, they follow each other's tracks. The lynx is very careful, it has excellent hearing and smell, good eyesight, and this, along with the ability to move completely silently, allows it to successfully evade a hunter. In general, the lynx avoids the proximity of humans and quite quickly disappears from areas where it is often disturbed. The lynx's favorite habitats are remote, impassable areas of old forest, with windfalls, dense undergrowth, the outskirts of forest swamps, and overgrown river valleys. In mountain forests, the lynx prefers places where there are rock outcrops, piles of stones or scree. Here she feels safe, here she finds enough food, here she breeds her offspring. Where there is a lot of game, where there is enough food, the lynx lives almost sedentary and is limited to a relatively small hunting area, only 10-20 square kilometers. It hunts at night, traveling no more than 10-15 kilometers in search of prey, often much less. During the day, the lynx sleeps, and in good weather it usually lies down openly, somewhere on the trunk of a fallen tree, on a large stone or among swamp hummocks. In rain or strong wind, the lynx goes into the wilderness and lies down under the shelter of an inversion or in a rock crevice. When starved of food, the lynx makes long migrations, covering tens of kilometers per day. She roams especially widely in the second half of winter, during the crust. At this time, the lynx can be found in places completely unusual for it: among fields, near populated areas, even in the steppe. Nomadic lynxes often die from accidental shots, exhaustion and other reasons. This cat feeds on any animal - as long as it manages to grab and crush its prey. But the basis of its food is hares, various rodents and birds, although in some places, such as in Altai, the lynx mainly feeds on ungulates: roe deer, deer, musk deer, even moose. The lynx usually hunts for ungulates in deep snow, when it is difficult for animals to move, and attacks young animals and females; She, of course, cannot cope with a strong bull - a deer or an elk. Among the birds, the lynx's prey sometimes includes capercaillie, hazel grouse, and black grouse, which spend the night in the snow. In summer, it sometimes attacks domestic animals, in particular sheep, but such cases are very rare. The lynx eats relatively little and, having had its fill, usually does not return to the remains of its prey. The summer diet of the lynx has been almost unstudied, but in all likelihood, at this time it is based on mouse-like rodents, bird chicks and the young of various mammals. The lynx usually hunts stealthily. She walks around her hunting area at a leisurely pace, listening to the slightest sound and sniffing the ground. Having found fresh tracks, the lynx begins to slowly move along them, and having found prey, it creeps up to it and then, in a sharp lunge, grabs the victim. There are cases when, after an unsuccessful attack, a lynx continues to pursue its prey, sometimes for a very long time. It is much less common for a lynx to ambush on hare trails or at roe deer crossings. The widely held opinion among people that a lynx allegedly “throws itself” at a person is the fruit of idle imagination. Even when wounded, she always tries to get away. It is only dangerous to approach a seriously wounded animal that has lost the ability to move and is driven to despair by fear and pain. The lynx rut begins in March, in the Caucasus - in February. In those places where there are still quite a lot of this animal, several males follow one female, and fierce fights arise between them. It should be noted, however, that now there are almost no such places left. During the period of estrus at night, you can hear the voice of a lynx - a loud meow, bassy and unpleasant to the ear, but highly original. Pregnancy lasts 63-70 days, and at the end of May, blind and helpless kittens appear in the lynx's den. Usually there are 2-3 of them in a litter, but there are cases when a lynx gives birth to 4-5 cubs. The lair itself is always located in the most remote places, in support structures, somewhere under the roots of a tree, in a crevice, sometimes in a rotten trunk or in a hollow. The male, along with the female, takes part in raising the growing young, and the brood remains together, without breaking up, throughout the fall and part of the winter. By this time, the young almost reach the size of the mother. It is very likely that the lynx does not give birth to cubs every year. Females reach sexual maturity at 21 months, males at 33 months. Life expectancy is apparently 15-20 years. The number of lynxes is small and continues to decline. Only in Eastern Siberia, and in the remote mountain ranges of Altai, Tien Shan and the Caucasus, can it still be considered a relatively common animal, but even then with great stretch. Throughout most of its range, the lynx is simply rare. This, by the way, is also evidenced by the size of the preparations - lynx never had any significant significance in the fishery, it was always caught only by chance, despite the fact that its skin is valued quite highly. Status of the Eurasian lynx population in different countries:

  • Balkan Peninsula: Several dozen lynxes in Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Greece.
  • Germany: Exterminated by 1850. In the 1990s. repopulated in the Bavarian Forest and Harz.
  • Carpathians: 2200 lynxes from the Czech Republic to Romania; the largest population besides the Russian one.
  • Poland: About 1000 lynxes in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and the Tatra Mountains.
  • Russia: 90% of the Eurasian lynx population lives in Siberia. Although lynxes are found from the western borders of the Russian Federation to Sakhalin.
  • Scandinavia: Ok. 2500 lynxes in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
  • France: Exterminated approx. 1900 Settled in the Vosges and Pyrenees.
  • Switzerland: Extirpated by 1915, recolonized in 1971. From here they migrated to Austria and Slovenia.
  • Central Asia: China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
  • Transcaucasia: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia.

Like many predators, it plays an important selection role in forest biocenoses. Only in hunting farms where roe deer, sika deer, and pheasants are bred, its presence is undesirable.

Ideal length

Each woman determines the length of her fur outfit independently. But you need to understand that a full-length fur coat will cost many times more than a short product. A long fur coat, according to stylists, is an excellent choice for elegant adult ladies. A fur product will emphasize a woman’s social status, hide figure flaws, and demonstrate her advantages. It is not worth buying a long fur coat for beauties who drive a lot, do not sit still and walk a lot.

A short fur coat model should be bought by a young active girl. This item will go harmoniously with casual style and flat shoes. In a short fur coat it is convenient to move around the city and drive a car. Products of medium length are suitable for women of almost any age, the main thing is to choose the right cut.

Color nuances

The colors of lynx coats are usually natural. It is the uniqueness of the natural color of the animal that puts the products in a special place. The skins have soft tints, the shade of the pile can vary from white to caramel, which gives things an extraordinary charm. The brighter the contrast of the main color and inclusions (spots), the more expensive the fur coat.

Ordinary

A fur coat made from common lynx fur is the most expensive. The long pile, soft and pleasant to the touch, gives the product a truly luxurious look. In nature, common lynxes have a spotted coloration. Manufacturers of fur coats use only the skin from the belly of the animal to make them, so the products are very expensive.

Redhead

A distinctive feature of the red lynx is its short hair and spotted belly. Many people, based on the name, think that she has red fur. This is wrong. The color of the animal is close to white. Due to its beautiful colors, fur is often used to trim outerwear.

Bolotnaya

The animal is often called the jungle cat. In summer, the animal’s fur is lighter with a reddish tint; in winter, the pile becomes thick and brown in tone.

What to look for when purchasing

When purchasing a fur product, you should be more careful. It is important to carefully examine the fur coat and feel the fur. It should be soft, uniform, without bald patches. When running your hand over the lynx's fur, there should be no hair left on your palm. If the product fades, then its purchase will be inappropriate.

It is recommended to buy fur outerwear in a good store. The seller must provide a certificate. If there are no such documents, then buying an item is dangerous, there is a risk of running into a fake.

What to wear with

To properly combine a fur coat with other accessories, you need to follow the fashion advice of stylists. Experts believe that an expensive and bright item should be complemented with clothes in subdued tones. Excessive shine is not welcome, so evening dresses made of satin and silk are best left for another occasion. Dark skinny jeans or trousers look harmonious with a short fur coat. To go to business negotiations, it is allowed to wear a plain classic suit. A floor-length fur product is ideal for a special event. Outerwear will look good with a long dress and stiletto heels (a woman in a luxurious fur coat is unlikely to walk to a party).

A maxi fur coat looks harmonious with a black or brown dress. This is truly a classic combination. Maxi is suitable for evening celebrations; wearing such a thing during the day is bad form. Women who purchased a fur product with ¾ sleeves are recommended to complement the look with long gloves. In this case, shoes should be chosen with thick heels of medium height; stiletto heels and flat soles will look out of place in such a look. Ladies who do not go out without a hat should choose a headdress made of fur that matches the color and texture of the pile of the fur coat.

Lynx fur coat - care rules, how to choose and what to wear with

A lynx fur coat is one of the most expensive, its fur is very rare, so a product made from it costs accordingly. The color palette is quite diverse, ranging from gray to blue, the pile is soft and thick. The ventral part of the lynx is the most valuable; its shades are lighter, with dark spots and sometimes stripes. The richer and brighter this contrast, the more valuable the fur.

A variety of products are made from lynx fur - these are beautiful coats, jackets, hats, and, of course, fur coats. This fur is popular due to its exotic colors and good wearability. By the way, lynx in products is usually not painted or even tinted, but used in its natural form.

Lynx fur coat: new season styles

Lynx fur has become the most popular for designers in the 2014-2015 season. Designers have created real masterpieces from luxurious fur with bright colors, using it, for example, as an accent as a collar. The brightness of the fur colors allows you to choose a calm cut, simple and classic.

As a rule, in a product such as a fur coat, one thing should play a role - either the cut or the color. Since the choice fell on lynx fur, then, of course, it is worth betting on the color palette. Choose a fur coat with the most pronounced colors.

In addition, this model is convenient and, most importantly, practical. In warmer times, it can serve as a vest; in cold weather, adding gloves - a full-fledged fur coat.

In addition to this model, in the winter season 2014-2015, stylish voluminous fur coats, as they are also called “hoodies,” returned to fashion. This style has returned to us from the 90s, of course, transformed. You can also choose a midi or maxi length fur coat - this style is suitable for adult women. This will emphasize their status, luxurious, seasoned beauty.

Among all types of fur for fur coats, it is lynx that attracts special attention due to its colors. The color of the fur has all the charm and dynamics. Having bought a lynx fur coat this season, you will be inspired by it throughout the snowy, cold winter.

It is customary to distinguish three types of lynx: Canadian, red and common. The shades of their fur are as follows: Canadian - the fur is the softest, its color is light with dark bright spots, this type of fur is not as white as the others. The red lynx, oddly enough, has white fur on its belly, this fur is the shortest. The common lynx, on the contrary, has very thick, fluffy fur and a bright white belly. Of course, an animal’s winter fur is valued much more than its summer fur; it is denser and softer.

When it comes to comparing price and type of fur, everything is very clear: the rarer the fur, the more expensive it will cost. The most expensive fur of the common lynx is a snow-white base with bright dark splashes. This contrast gives any product airiness, attractiveness, and elegance. This fur coat is made from the abdominal part of a wild cat, where its fur is especially thick and long. Coats made from less rare species of lynx - red and Canadian - will cost a little less.

How to choose and care for a lynx coat

When buying an expensive thing, we, first of all, rely on its quality; expensive means high quality. And yet, you just need to know a few rules that will help you choose a quality lynx coat.

First of all, you need to inspect the fur: there should be no bald patches or matted fur. The fur should be solid, smooth and soft. Run your hand from the top of the fur coat to the end - not a single hair should remain in your hands. Lynx fur, as has already been said many times, is not dyed. However, if you have chosen a fur coat whose fur is dyed, then you need to arm yourself with a small piece of white cloth, wet it (so that it is slightly damp) and rub it over the fur coat. There should be no marks left on the white fabric.

So, a fur coat made of natural fur can last you ten years, or even two. Of course, with proper care. You should know that the lynx reacts to bad weather, as a result of which the fur loses its former attractiveness. However, in terms of the quality of heat retention, the lynx occupies one of the first places.

Under no circumstances should you dry your fur coat with a hairdryer, near a radiator, or in the sun. If the product is slightly wet from the snow, then it is best to hang it in a draft and wait until it dries on its own. A fur coat with long hair should be stored in an empty closet so that the pile does not become crushed. Lynx usually comes in light colors, so it might be a good idea to purchase a cotton case.

Knowing these seemingly simple secrets, your fur coat will look impressive even after ten years. Finally, we’ll share with you a few more tips:

  • Wearing a long fur coat during the day is bad manners.
  • The bright fur coat itself should be combined with calmer colors of clothing, preferably monochromatic.
  • When choosing a long fur coat, do not forget about high heels - low heels are inappropriate.
  • Lynx fur is very sensitive to bad weather. In order for your fur coat to serve you for many years, you should not wear it during the rains.
